On 19th September 2017, con man Elijah Oyefeso was sent to prison for 2.5 years. He was badly in debt due to the amount of money he owed to fund his fake lifestyle. As a result he was charged with driving and weapons offences. However, as a result of the court case, his finances and background were investigated and spectacularly revealed in court.

He desperately tried to keep the Southampton Crown Court case quiet but DCT Trading Exposed widely publicised it at the time. His own defence QC admitted:

“Elijah Oyefeso has no evidence of any wealth whatsoever…”

Oyefeso went to extraordinary lengths to keep up the falsehood of a millionaire city trader. He posed with planes, luxury cars, expensive watches etc. none of which he owned. All the photos were staged.
